Welcome to daily shows at Greenbelt, from wherever you are.

The No Fly Zone is our venue at the festival that connects us to the global village – without flying folks to the field. For anyone who can’t be with us at Boughton House, it’s your chance to enjoy a daily slice of Greenbelt from wherever you are.

We’ll have daily shows hosted by Greenbelt favourites like Harry Baker, Pádraig Ó Tuama and Martyn Joseph, all featuring guests dropping in from across the world. We’ll be face-to-face (remotely) with authors, thinkers and musicians like Marilynne Robinson, Tim Winton, Dougald Hine and Crys Matthews.

Supported and sustained by our main festival partners Christian Aid, the No Fly Zone doesn’t just bring all of these amazing people to the field – it brings you too. Scroll down to find out what to expect and how to get your ticket.

What have we got in store?

Poet and theologian Pádraig Ó Tuama will host a Poetry Unbound-style daily show live from the No Fly Zone. Rumi translator and poet Haleh Liza Gafori will be joining Pádraig live from New York, part of an eclectic, inspiring collection of voices dropping in across the weekend.

Join Martyn Joseph for his songwriter circle show The Rising live from the NFZ each day, where he’ll be joined by a guest from another part of the world, as well as live performers. Remote singer-songwriters will include talents of Canadian Dave Gunning, American Crys Matthews and Englishman abroad Tom McRae.

Slam-poetry champion and spoken word legend, Harry Baker, will be offering up a daily injection of Worldwide Woken Spurred. Prepared to be inspired by poets like Luka Lesson from Australia, Lyndsay Rush (aka Mary Oliver’s Drunk Cousin online) from the States, and more.

We’re thrilled to be welcoming one of our greatest living novelists, Marilynne Robinson from the States, Tim Winton from Australia to talk about his most recent novel Juice, and philosopher and environmental activist Dougald Hine from the small Swedish town of Östervåla.

We will also be joining Daoud Nassar and his family at The Tent of Nations in the West Bank, and teaming up with Brian Eno as we deep dive into the question, ‘Is Art a Form of Religion or is Religion a Form of Art?’

Want more? You’ll be able to take part in a livestreamed communion, and dig into global development issues across the weekend with our main partners Christian Aid, including live links to Caribbean projects that show how reparations actually make a difference on the ground.

Think of it like a condensed, full-strength version of Greenbelt that you can dip into over the weekend, and then revisit and catch up with whatever you missed for the next month.

Greenbelt, wherever (and whenever) you are

Livestreams will start each day from 9am until late at night. We’ll be releasing the full schedule in August but you can buy tickets now. A weekend ticket – giving you access to every livestreamed NFZ show across the festival – costs £35, and a day ticket £25.

You’ll be able to rewind and pause the livestreams as much as you like, and everything will be there for you to watch as much as you like for a month after the festival. Watch them on your phone, your laptop, your TV - as long as it’s got a web browser it’s entirely up to you.

You can join in online to watch and listen, as well as comment in the live chat around each session. We hope it gives you a chance to be part of the wider Greenbelt community for a weekend – wherever you are. Livestreams will be filmed with a multi-camera crew and there will be large and loud live festival audiences adding atmosphere and excitement.

We can’t wait to welcome you in!

Frequently Asked Questions

🌱 Are the livestreams free to watch?

🌱 Can I buy day tickets?
We’d love you to join us for as much of it as possible. You can snap up the whole 3 days for £35 or a single day for £25.

The first NFZ shows start Friday 22nd to Sunday 24th August 2025, from 9am until late night each day. There will be a full schedule coming in August.

Yes you can, as long as your TV has a web browser (Chrome, Firefox etc)
